Laser Microperforation:
The quality and durability of packaged perishable products depends on the compromise established between ventilation and protection against moisture. The quantity and diameter of the micro-perforations are crucial factors in achieving this balance.
Selective layer cutting
So-called “easy-open” packagings are often not so easy, and the task of opening a sachet of sauce or a packet of nuts is much trickier than it should be. The pre-cutting technique is applied to multi-layer films for packaging. It consists in making successive incisions, perfectly visible for the end consumer, in one or more of the layers, leaving 100% intact the one that protects the material. This is possible because the materials that make up the different layers have different properties of absorption and reflection of the laser beam.
Laser Macroperforation
The new Easy Pack Scan range makes it possible to carry out macroperforation by defining regular shapes- like the “euro hole”- or random ones, always in dynamic processing and at medium speed. Thanks to its software, our machine can process circular holes and any other geometric shape that might be required up to 10mm in diameter, always with the same precision
Marking
Modulating the laser beam to high speed allows an interesting application of Easy Pack Scan: marking or coding directly on to film, both to achieve full product traceability and to print logos or customizations.
This versatile application makes it possible to customize certain processes for the end customer, including manufacturing or expiry dates, bag references and many other functions
